Hey Everyone!
It's been a few days since the campaign ended, and we're sure you've been inundated with emails, but we've got one more for you.

Thank you so much for making this our biggest comic campaign yet! 🎉🎉

We're so excited to be making this book, and we couldn't have done it without you.

Here's what will happen next:

  • We're working on getting all the rewards finalized in BackerKit.
  • In a week or two, you'll be getting access to the pledge manager to fill out your surveys.
  • We'll keep you updated as production starts on the books, pins, and other rewards

In the meantime, we're getting ready for our next campaign.
If you're a fan of Owlbears and enamel pins, we're going to be voting on a lot of awesome designs from the very talented Maru Davalos. We're working on a campaign frame for Daggerheart to go along with the designs.

6 months ago – Tue, Sep 30, 2025 at 11:57:02 AM

We're just 90 minutes away from the end of the campaign and are so excited to be bringing this project to life. Thanks to everyone for making this our largest comic campaign ever!

We're only about $600 away from our next stretch goal PLUS Suncrest is currently sitting at 81% of our engagement points to get everyone who backs a Suncrest project a freebie digital zine.

If you have anyone that you know would love Bound by Words or any of the other projects in Printopia let them know! As long as the backer train is moving the campaign will stay live in overtime mode!

While we're hard at work on Bound by Words, we also have a few other comics in the pipeline. We've dropped a poll below, let us know what sounds the most interesting.

(All the projects below are in development. These are working titles)

Comic #1: Phantom of the Space Opera - (Sci-Fi Sapphic Romance)

But the deadly AI still haunts the ramparts behind the stage causing trouble for the new owners -- the wealthy elite of a crime syndicate. Comic #2: Red Beer Inn (Fantasy Adventure/Gay Romance)

But their pasts are never too far behind them. Will their love be strong enough to overcome it all?

Comic #3: La Navaja (Crime Drama/Sapphic Romance)

In New York City, a powerful crime boss known as La Navaja (The Knife) ruthlessly protects her community by keeping the gangs there in check. 📔Journal Winner & Some Fun Digital Rewards
6 months ago – Mon, Sep 22, 2025 at 08:06:53 PM

Hey everyone!
Thanks for sticking with us so far.

We're closing in on the end of the campaign with only eight days remaining! We've unlocked a paper upgrade for every book, and we're well on our way to unlocking collectable cards as well. These cards will have some fun notes about each of the characters, and we'll be sending out digital versions of them, too.

Journal Winner

Congratulations to Kayla Boss for winning the special Bound by Words journal!
We'll include the journal when we ship your pledge.

Collab Partners: New Stretch Goals!

Both our collab partners have unlocked new and exciting stretch goals.
If you're looking for more stories and a few additional rewards, make sure to check them out.

Comic Book Collectors Guild Cafe

Comic Book Collectors Guild Cafe has unlocked their first paper upgrade and has just unlocked an additional art print and postcard! They're on their way to a second paper upgrade for this 130-page graphic novel about 5 magical animal friends and their cafe. They've got a poll open right now about what your favorite reading genre is. If you've backed, you can vote!

When you back this project and Bound By Words, at the physical level, you'll get the 1.5" enamel pin from Mythic MGMT and the Hatch & Friends Art Print by Rahlee Draws with a Souflee recipe. We tested the souflee recipe ourselves and can confirm that it's tasty!

You can back them here: Collectors Guild Cafe

Lesbians In Space 2: The Sapphics Strike Back

Lesbians In Space 2 has unlocked a pay upgrade for all their writers (heck yes!) plus an additional 5 illustrations for the book. They're just $30 away from their next stretch goal: 4x6 versions of all ten illustrations from both anthologies, plus the cover art from both books!

When you back Lesbians In Space 2 and Bound By Words, you'll get an exclusive short story "Destroy All System Lords" by William C. Tracey with the companion art print by Rahlee Draws. It's an epic and thrilling sci-fi story that may be short but packs a punch.

You can back them here: Lesbians In Space 2

Check Out Suncrest

Also, check out the other great projects in Suncrest. We've got everything from hard-boiled detectives, to warring orc factions, to magical cats! There are only 6 projects in our group, so give them a good look and prepare to be delighted.

What's Next: Reward Planning and a Poll

We're putting together a digital bundle of indie comics that we're going to add to everyone's pledge.
We'll announce which books will be in the bundle in the next few days.

We figure most of you are romance fans, but outside of that, which genres do you like to read the most? (If you have a few, feel free to comment as well. Sorry, the poll only allows one option at a time)

Help Oscar Send a Letter (and Maybe Get a Notebook)
7 months ago – Tue, Sep 16, 2025 at 09:25:51 PM

Hello everyone!
We are back with a new achievement for the campaign and directions for how to win the notebook.

But first, we wanted to highlight some other projects in Printopia with us.

Aside from our collab partners, there are two other cool projects we think you might enjoy:

Echoes

Echoes is a 28-page black and white one-shot comic about what happens the morning after the village burns the witch. It's an eerie puritan folk horror that reads like The VVitch meets Midnight Mass.

Echoes tells the terrifying story of a puritan town reaping exactly what they've sown, where the celebration at the feet of a charred corpse turns into blood-curdling screams and the wilderness claims what belongs to it once again. It's a story about the reverberations of heinous acts and the guilt of being a bystander in a cruel system. It's a warning about why you should never, ever burn the witch.

They are also offering a sapphic comic as an add-on to the campaign, called The Catskin and the Rose.

Leif and Thorn

Leif & Thorn is an original, LGBTQ-centric, fantasy webcomic, about a magic knight trying to have a romance in his second language. It's collected into volumes here on Printopia for you to enjoy.

In this volume, an AU version of Magic Knight Thorn has been dropped into the universe, and it's up to Ex-Dark-magical-boy Kale to find a way to return him. Kale was finally getting his life together. He joined a cult-survivor support group. He made some friends, who know his sordid backstory and like him anyway. He has a non-evil job. He has a dog. Nobody's tried to kill him for a solid year! But it's been touch-and-go ever since Kid Thorne showed up, and Kale doesn't actually know how to send him home. It'll take a crack team of mad scientists and magical-girl adults to help him figure it out.

If you haven't checked out our collab partners yet, here's a rundown!

Collectors Guild Cafe

The Collectors Guild Cafe is a cozy, LGBTQ-Friendly graphic novel about five friends who come together for adventure and fun playing D&D in their friend's cafe! They are Alister the Minotaur, Hatch the Griffin, Mythri the Siren, Titus the Golem, and Zephyr the Dragon.

Everything is going great, until Zephyr’s favorite book starts to wither, smudge, and fall apart. Stuck in the past, he desperately tries to hold on and fix what is fading. A newcomer, Poppy the Kitsune, may hold the answer. Can she help Zephyr rescue what is lost? Or is a more important lesson coming their way?

Lesbians In Space 2

Because history doesn't reward nice women. Launch into a new batch of Lesbians and Space! Lesbians in Space explores the galaxy from the unique perspective of the lesfic world, blending the best of sapphic literature with modern sci-fi and space opera tropes.

This volume delves into cosmic encounters, grappling with AIs, finding ancient colonies, and veering through daring heists and zany hijinks! Explore abandoned relics and ruins, dodge space debris, communicate with unknown and known aliens, and participate in space races.
